Under the accompaniment and organization of our Music Coordinator and Associate Musician, St. Peter is blessed with a plethora of Christian Music genres delivered by a  variety of choirs and musical talent. They are as follows:

And More Music Ministries!

THE BRASS ENSEMBLE is open to persons who have at least two years of experience playing a brass instrument. -e.g., trumpet, trombone, french horn, tuba, etc. The Brass Ensemble's repertoire is comprised of hymns, fanfare-anthems, spirituals, traditional & contemporary gospel music.  The Ensemble renders ministry in song during special observances at the church.  Mr. Cleveland Britton serves as first-chair and music copyist of this ensemble.

THE YOUTH STRING ENSEMBLE is open to persons who have at least three years of experience playing a string instrument - i.e. violin, viola, cello, double bass, etc.  The String Ensemble studies classical composers and also renders hymns, spirituals and gospel music.  The Ensemble is under the direction of Mrs. Veronica Johnson. Also, each summer a Celebration-String Music Camp is offered for first-timers, beginners, intermediate and advances string musicians.  The String Camp Week culminates in the Finale Orchestra Concert.

THE CHURCH MUSIC TRAINING MINISTRY is open to persons who have played any musical instrument for at least two years.  The objective is to introduce students to the musicological facets of church music.  This objective is met through the study of theological, theoretical, technical and tactical approaches applied to music.  These students render the ministry of music through solos, duos, trios and small ensembles for special observances held during the year.

THE MASTER'S MAJESTIC MELODY MAKERS were organized by Dr. Walton in 2002.  The members of this instrumental ensemble are comprised of five professional musicians who render ministry through song.  Traditional gospel, contemporary gospel and gospel-jazz genres serve as their forte. In addition, these musicians are classically trained and accompany the choral voices during Annual Church Celebrations. The Members are: Juana Thompson, pianist; Christopher Redd, keyboardist; ----Eddie Slater, lead guitarist; Stanley Scott, bassist and James "Jimmy" Carson, percussionist.
