 |
1. By Profession of Faith and Baptism After receiving Christ as your personal Savior, you may make it known during the invitation by coming to the front of the church and presenting yourself for baptism and church membership.
You may profess your faith in Christ as your personal Savior during the invitation by coming forward and after receiving Christ, presenting yourself for baptism and church membership.
2. By Transfer of Membership From Another Baptist Church If you have been baptized in a Baptist church, you may come forward during the invitation and request a transfer of membership. Our church clerk will arrange for this transfer.
3. By Statement If you have been baptized in a Baptist church that is no longer in existence, or if your membership has been misplaced, you may join by "statement". We will accept you upon your statement that your have received Christ as your Savior and have been baptized in a Baptist church.
4. By Baptism, If You Are Not A Baptist If you belong to another denomination and wish to unite with this church we will be glad to receive you for baptism.
Our position on baptism and church membership: Every member of our church has been baptized into the fellowship of this church, or they have been baptized into the fellowship of another Baptist church before coming to this church.
You are saved by receiving Jesus Christ as Savior. We believe that Scriptural baptism is by immersion only, for believers only. Baptism does not save, but is a picture of salvation.
If you have received Jesus Christ as Savior, you may unite with our church by presenting yourself for baptism. If you have any questions we will be glad to counsel with you.

What The Bible Teaches About Baptism |
 |
1. Christ commands baptism. Baptism does not save, but is an act of obedience to Christ's command (Matthew 28:19-20).
2. Christ was baptized. Christ began his public ministry by being baptized (Matthew 3:13-27).
3. The Greek word baptizo means immersion in water. Jesus was immersed (Mark 1:9-11). His followers were immersed (John 4:1-2). The early church members were immersed (Acts 2:41).
4. Baptism is a picture. It symbolizes the believer's faith in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. It also symbolizes our death to sin and our new life in Christ (1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Romans 6:3-5).
5. After receiving Christ, you should be baptized as soon as possible (Acts 8:35-38; Acts 16:25-34).
